The background really adds to this. Works really well with the horizontal tilt of the viewing frame and the angle of her legs/sword.

You know, I played Paper Lily a little. I played until I woke up in the first dream. Instead of exploring the attention-grabbing white sprites against a black background, I walked off into the void. Then Lily said she felt uneasy. But I assumed it was just the game trying to dissuade me so I marched her into the infinite abyss and she lost her mind. I haven't picked the game back up since then...

I always thought it was interesting how UN soldiers wear blue helmets, but I didn't know they fielded white vehicles. I get that the point is to show that they're not trying to hide and that nobody should shoot at them, but man does it take guts to drive a BRIGHT WHITE AFV into a hot zone.

My friend recently started playing this game and I was immediately most drawn to the Palico (obviously-- who isn't?) but Gemma was my favorite human character.
